Hop Hop here comes Peter Cottontail
For this sweet antique inspired bunny I formed him by hand using the antique spun cotton technique.
A little history of spun cotton: The making of Spun cotton ornaments originated in Germany in the 19th century. Cotton was spun around a wire frame and sealed with a natural glue or starch.
Bunny is painted white and stained with a Grimm-mix to give it an antique vintage feel. He has red/pink glass bead eyes. Bunny is accented with turquoise color ribbon bow.
His carrot is made by spun cotton, painted orange and stained with Grimm-mix to give it an antique vintage feel.
The carrot is firmly attached to bunny's paw and can not be removed.
Bunny is attach to mossy base and can not be removed.
Cloche is made of glass with a cork base.
Cloche can be removed from base.
Piece measures 4 1/2 inches x 2.5 inches.
