Uncle Sam's Sister : Columbia a goddess of freedom.

She inspired all the women from the women’s suffrage marches of 1913.
She usually wore a Roman-style metal war bonnet and was draped in the stars and stripes of the American flag...she was kind-hearted and reached out to immigrants and the poor.
Our nation’s capital, the District of Columbia is named after her.
****

Columbia is dressed in a  blue floral cotton fabric coat with a vintage white and a touch of silver lace border at hem, sleeves and collar.  She has a vintage white ribbon sash fastened with red button and sliver trim. Her pants are red and white stripe cotton fabric with lace trim.

Columbia's  auburn red hair is tied it into two braids. I made her a Uncle Sam top hat made of paper mache, red and white stripe fabric embellished with vintage ribbon, silver tinsel and metallic bullion star.  Hat is  tied around and pinned to her head and hat can be removed.

She has blue and tan stripe legs and her shoes are black Mary Janes.   Columbia is holding a rare vintage (made in Japan) find, Uncle Sam cupcake topper.

She is 15 inches and comes with a handmade doll stand.
