Marie Antoinette Kewpie
Surprise!!
It's Marie Antoinette Kewpie jumping out of a cake!!
Marie's 3 layer cake is made from spun cotton.
Spun cotton" refers to a technique (originating in 19th-century Germany) where thin layers of cotton fibers are wrapped tightly around a wire or shaped form and coated with a starch or glue mixture.
The cake is hand painted with acrylic paint... pinks, blues, cream and green.
Marie is made from a vintage carnival "Irwin" kewpie doll. Her face paint is original.
Her hands are movable.
I gave Marie a bee hive pink hairdo embellished with dainty pink trimmings and flowers. And a tiny Crown on top of her hairdo. She is wearing a gold star top with trimmings.
Marie Antoinette cannot be roved from cake.
Size: about 12 inches from head to base. Cake plate is not included.
