the sweetest little bunny and baby bunny
For this sweet antique inspired bunnies and egg I used the antique spun cotton technique. For the baby bunny I used a chocolate mold to form the spun cotton baby bunny.
The other bunny is formed by hand.
A little history of spun cotton: The making of Spun cotton ornaments originated in Germany in the 19th century. Cotton was spun around a wire frame and sealed with a natural glue or starch.
Bunnies are painted white and stained with a Grimm-mix to give it an antique vintage feel. They both have pink bead eyes. Bunny is accented with pale pink ribbon bow.
I made the egg with spun cotton, painted aqua and sprinkled with clear German glass glitter.
The baby bunny inside of egg basket can be removed.
Egg basket and Bunny are firmly attach to mossy base and can not be removed.
The base is embellished with vintage millinery flowers and little eggs.
Piece measures 4 1/2 inches x 5 inches.
